Mentors (m/f/d)
To supervise the progress of trainees as part of the practicum to become INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guides, we seek applications from suitable Mentors (m/f/d). We are interested to hear from you if you possess the following formal qualifications and people skills:
you are an INFTA-Certified and Accredited Forest Therapy Guide | |
you have participated in, at least, one INFTA-Forest Therapy Introduction (or equivalent workshop) after your graduation as INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guide | |
you have a background in teaching, coaching, lecturing or similar profession and an understanding of the role and purpose of mentoring | |
you have very good reading and writing skills (in German and English) | |
you are focussed, efficient, can keep to deadlines and possess good time-management skills | |
you have adequate people skills, are reliable, approachable, conciliatory and open-minded | |
you are a native English, German or Chinese speaker | |
you command well-developed IT skills |
Mentors are responsible for checking and assessing assignments submitted by trainees of the various training cohorts. Therefore, mentoring is a part-time role and will be awarded per training cohort (i.e., on a six-months contractual basis for INFTA’s Accredited Training Provider). While mentors are largely free in their mentoring roles and assessment of the deliverables from trainees, they are working within INFTA’s organisational framework. This requires team-work, being focussed, reliable and responsive, keeping strictly to agreed timelines.
In return, the positions are remunerated well above average, underscoring the importance and responsibilities vis-a-vis the trainees and INFTA.

Lecturers (m/f/d)

you are an INFTA-Certified and Accredited Forest Therapy Guide (or have a similar tertiary qualification – at least at the Masters level – in the area of education with a specialisation on health or STEM subjects) |

you have been teaching or lecturing for at least three years being able to address effectively heterogenous sets of students either in an academic or vocational setting | |
you have outstanding reading and writing skills | |
you are focussed, efficient, work in a structured way and possess good time-management skills | |

INFTA’s Lecturers are responsible for teaching different modules of the International Core Curriculum of Forest Therapy (see Kotte, Li, Shin & Michalsen [eds] 2019 International Handbook of Forest Therapy) to various and heterogeneously composed training cohorts of adult learners. Lecturing is a part-time role and will be awarded per training cohort (i.e., full-time during intense five-day face-to-face workshops). Lecturers receive a time-limited consultancy contract from INFTA’s Accredited Training Provider. While they are largely free in their lecturing roles and assessment of the deliverables from trainees, they are working within an organisational framework with clearly defined course structures, content and tasks superseded by the International Core Curriculum of Forest Therapy. This requires team-work, being focussed, reliable and responsive, keeping strictly to agreed timelines and deliverables.

Research Assistants (m/f/d) - Expression of Interest
To plan and prepare for a range of national and international research projects in the area of Forest Therapy as a Public Health practice, we seek applications from suitable Research Assistants (m/f/d). you are an INFTA-Certified and Accredited Forest Therapy Guide (or command a similar science-oriented professional background) |

you have, at least, successfully completed a Masters degree in medicine, health studies, natural sciences or psychometrics | |
you have a particular research interest in the area of Public Health, preferably with a personal affiliation in measuring and establishing the effects of nature and environment | |

you are focussed, efficient, can keep to deadlines and possess good time-management skills | |
you are team-oriented, reliable, dedicated and you have common sense | |

INFTA’s Research Assistants will be hired for a range of specific research projects. At the moment, we are in the planning and preparatory phases for several national and international studies. Thus, we seek suitable Expressions of Interest which outline your particular research focus and why you think you qualify as part of our upcoming research teams.
All upcoming positions are remunerated at an international pay level, underscoring the importance and responsibilities these positions will carry. Since the research projects for which INFTA needs suitably qualified research assistants are all empirical in nature, the possibility of completing a PhD is given.
